Rules Official

The Rules Official is responsible for working in collaboration with the rules staff to evaluate and set up all tournament golf courses, administer rulings during tournaments, and enforcing pace of play.  This position reports to the Head Rules Official. This is a permanent, seasonal position and requires extensive travel.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have attended numerous PGA/USGA rules workshop, and scored an 85 or higher on the Rules of Golf Exam
  • Have previous experience as a rules official, as well as with golf course set up
  • Have the ability to see the big picture as it relates to players, volunteers, pace of play, etc.
  • Have good communication skills, excellent decision-making ability and general computer skills
  • Have an Associates degree from an accredited college or university
  • Have the ability to travel extensively
  • Be a team player
  • Have the desire to continue to learn and improve their knowledge of the rules of golf 
  • Be detail-oriented, versatile, and able to work long hours in a high stress environment
  • Have previous management experience

Tournament Operations Intern - Spring

The Tournament Operations Intern is responsible for assisting with the on-site set up/breakdown of the professional tournament.  This position also is responsible for instructing and working closely with volunteers, as well as, assisting with maintenance and repair of Tour equipment.  This internship requires travel via your personal vehicle and reports to the Director of Tournament Operations. The position pays a small stipend, as well as, most expenses and starts the beginning of March 2009.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Be able to travel extensively via their own vehicle
  • Be physically fit
  • Have general golf knowledge
  • Be working towards a degree (or just completed) from an accredited university or golf school
